Kole Lane is a 2016 SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Eagle, ID who attends Eagle HS. Medium athletic build, prototypical middle infielder's build. 7.06 runner, very high level defensive tools at shortstop, excellent footwork, very quick release, throws are accurate with on line carry, can make the plays on the run, soft hands, fun to watch play the position. Right handed hitter, busy load with an occasionally late front foot, loads to his back side, will have to improve his timing at the next level, loose swing with some beginning bat speed, projects offensively with adjustments and additional strength. Defense is his tool. Very good student.
