Colton Wombles is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Phenix City, AL who attends Calvary Christian. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher setup behind the plate in drills, fields the ball out front, gets the ball out of glove, occasionally pulls throws, shows solid arm strength with carry when on top of the ball at release. Similar fast release on throws from the outfield, short and quick arm action through the backside, effort at release with present arm strength to the intended bases. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Slightly open stance, employs a linear stroke through the zone with a contact oriented approach. Plays with high energy, turns over the barrel well, line drive contact when squared with comfort working to the pull side. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Auburn.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
