Pierce Edwards is a 2023 C/RHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Seale, AL who attends Glenwood School. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher who has the athleticism and arm strength to play other positions. Shows good quickness behind the plate in his lower half actions, has good carry on his throws, will continue to improve behind the plate with concentration on fundamentals as the tools will be there. Right handed hitter, loads hard to his front side with a big shift in, has quick hands and a short hand path to the ball, can get some jump on the ball when getting the barrel out front, line drive swing plane, projects as a hitter. Also pitched, low 3/4's arm slot with some arm whip, late hand separation causes his arm to be late at times, gets nice running action on a fastball that topped out at 84 mph when in the zone. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
