Michael Straub is a 2021 SS/3B, 2B with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Etowah. Flashed a large frame with a lean, wiry type build with room to fill down the road. Ran a 7.02 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop proving to be ready with a nice creep step pre pitch and then works through the baseball well. Soft hands with a clean gather. Quick transfer before showing an over the top arm action. Arm strength present as he showed great feel for the position. Righthanded hitter starting with a narrow stance while his front side being closed off. Toe tap and go with a lower leg lift and stride. Lands balanced. Quiet hands with a short, simple cut to the baseball. Gap to gap type approach. Good Student.
