Brandon Eck is a 2022 RHP/SS with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends River Ridge. Small and lean frame. Ran a 7.38 second 60 yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, high energy delivery with good tempo, works exclusively from the stretch, takes his arm back to a long arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, intent at release, double taps the glove at take back with a deceptive coil at the top of his balance point. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with a tight curveball, keeps hitter off balance with both pitches, breaking ball is a real out pitch for him with repeated effort thrown with it as well as tight and late 11-5 shape. Secondary shortstop, worked out in the infield soft hands in the dirt, good first step with a funnel into his body at gather, glove pump release with similar arm strength across as on the mound. Right-handed hitter, sets up at the plate with a very high hand set, stays open with stride, sprays the ball to all fields with a raw stroke and a feel for the barrel.
