2023 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Christopher Martinez is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Grand Street Campus. Martinez works from a medium athletic build with additional room to fill out and add strength in the future. Exclusively from his primary OF spot, he showcased an aggressive buildup and direct footwork through the baseball that carried momentum well and ultimately topped out at 85 mph. The arm action was clean and effortless for the righty with refined mechanics that could even further build on the velocity. On the offensive end, Martinez worked from the left box where he started from an even base with a wrapped hand set producing his loudest impact to the pull side of the field. He displayed strength in the hands with more power developing as the stroke becomes more consistent. Ran a 7.30 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
