Drew Spencer is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Lutz, FL who attends Steinbrenner HS. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, wrapped barrel start with a big leg lift load, long and smooth swing, looking to lift the ball, pull to mid field contact, puts the ball in the air consistently, has some bat speed and good strength at contact. 7.23 runner, left field actions and tools on defense, gets over his front side well throwing and makes accurate throws with some carry. Also pitched, upper half delivery with a long arm action in back, high 3/4's arm slot with medium effort at release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, mostly straight, works mostly arm side with cross fire delivery. Curveball showed good velocity and tightness with a 12/6 downer break when he got out front with it.
