2019 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Gavin Martin is a 2021 3B/1B/SS with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Bordentown, NJ who attends Notre Dame. Large build with present strength. Ran a 7.06 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed low out front funnels with clean glove actions. Flashed athletic actions and good footwork while working to and through the baseball. Showed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry across the diamond topping out at 86 mph to first base. Right handed hitter. Employs a narrow stance with a large leg lift trigger. Flashed a natually elevated barrel plane looking to drive the baseball to and through the gaps in the outfield. Showed the ability to create consistently driven contact to and through both gaps in the outfield. Flashed good strength at contact creating jump off the barrel when on time and squared. Great student. Named to the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase, Top Prospect List.
