Jake Kingsbury is a 2021 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Brophy College Prep. Large athletic frame with square shoulders. Ran a 7.38 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Sits back some with a deliberate close to the ball. Fields to the side maintaining momentum through exchanges. Longer arm action in the back and into a three-quarter release. Creates slight carry out of the hand topping out at 82 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a narrow and slightly open stance to start. Utilizes a long leg lift trigger for timing. Flat plane through the zone showing fluidity with the barrel. Quick hands generating barrel speed with strength. Middle of the field approach. Secondary lefthanded pitcher with a leg lift to the belt. Lands in line down the mound with a large stride out, utilizing drop and drive actions to the plate. Has some arm speed using a max effort release from an extended three-quarter slot. Late running life on the fastball topping out at 78 MPH. Shows a sweeping slider as a secondary option with the ability to land the pitch in the zone. Good student as well.
