Luke Hasty is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-11 182 lb. frame from Phenix City, AL who attends Smiths Station. Medium frame with some strength present and more room to fill. Ran a 7.11 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up behind the plate with a side saddle starting position and high hips, receives the baseball with two hands, comes through the baseball with a clean transfer and footwork, gains ground into his throws with playable arm strength behind the plate, solid defensive tools producing a 1.96 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a spread out stance, strong swing that flashed jump to his pull side, present juice when on time hitting the ball out in front, young barrel ability with room for improvement with adjustments to timing. Outstanding student.
