Jorge Perez is a 2018 LHP with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Mature athletic build with good present strength. Multi-part delivery with a deep arm action in back, lots of deception but a difficult set of mechanics to repeat consistently, over the top release point that creates lots of angle to the plate. Fastball topped out at 88 mph early, most effective at 83-84 mph with better command and life, can get nice arm side running action in addition to angle. Flashes hard curveball spin and bite when fully on top, throws his curveball with better command than his fastball, can get hitters to chase his curveball down. Developing change up.
