Ben Silverman is a 2019 C/ with a 5-7 175 lb. frame from Bedford, NY who attends Fox Lane High School. Younger player with a compact lower half, strong frame, athleticism, and room to continue to refine physical frame. Primary catcher, gained ground well, developing transfer skills, longer takeaway, and a short, compact arm action. Raw arm strength up to 74 mph and a workout pop time of 2.14. At the plate, started with a bigger leg lift timing mechanism and stride to ball. Strength in swing, deeper weight shift on to back leg, longer path, and an approach that worked the opposite field. Additional rhythm and lower half in swing would aid consistency in contact.
