Adam McKelvey is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Roswell. Extra-Large frame with a sturdy build showing broad shoulders and some room to still fill out in the lower half. Ran a 7.80 second sixty yard dash. Primary Left-Handed Pitcher, working into a long side-step to a belt high lift in the windup. Pauses at the top before dropping and driving. Stays online to dish and gets over the front side well. Mechanical sound and proved he could repeat his actions. Fastball was up to 83 mph with flat actions. Mixed in a breaking ball showing slurvy movements and was good when he got on top of it. Big time upside on the mound and will make huge strides with some small clean-up's. Secondary First Baseman, sitting back on the baseball as he makes sure to keep the baseball in front of him. Confident with the glove as he works into transfers. Long take back and then releases with intent. Accurate throws around the bag and proved to have the proper footwork when turning two. Left-Handed Hitter, starting wide with the lower half as he works into separation. Fires the lower half as he generates big time bat speed. Proved he could generate lift and drive it deep in the gaps. Projects as a power hitter as he had multiple extra-base hits in game, including a pull-side homer that left the park in a hurry. Outstanding Student. Named to Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List.
