Chasetn Reed is a 2018 OF/2B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Beltsville, MD who attends St Johns College HS. Medium frame, slender build, room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.19 60-yard dash. From the outfield, fields the ball out in front, moves well to the baseball, full arm action, showed arm strength on throws to bases. At the plate, starts with an open stance and a low hand set. Swing begins with a small leg lift trigger. Swings on a line drive swing plane, short compact swing short to the baseball. Has a consistent feel for the barrel, can hit to all fields. Projects very well with additional growth and maturity, good presence at the plate. Excellent student. Named to Mid Atlantic Under Top Prospect List.
