Cam Meyer is a 2017 SS/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Newton, MA who attends Salisbury. Large, athletic frame with strong, good build throughout body. Hits with small leg lift and quick trigger, high handset and high back elbow, short to the ball with simple swing and good bat to ball skills. Shifts weight well and stays behind the ball, good balance throughout with extension through contact and projectable power. Fielded well in the infield, showing very good hands with good footwork and reaction. Has range to both sides, quick/smooth arm with easy arm strength across the infield on a line, topping at 84 MPH. Pitched as well, showing short and quick arm action with good hip rotation through delivery. FB topped at 82 MPH, showed some ability to cut the FB in high 70's. Showed command of FB to both sides of the plate as well as the ability to elevate the pitch. CB in mid 60's has 11/5 shape with good bite; showed CH at 74 with some fading action and deception out of hand. Very good student.
