Mason Diaz is a 2019 C with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Valparaiso, IN who attends Wheeler HS. Medium-large frame with strong present build; some projection remaining as well. Sets up to hit with deeper hand set, loads deep as well, moves in and shifts weight well into contact creating drive and torque in lower half. Extends well through contact, swings the bat hard with good intent. Generates lift off the barrel, repeats swing well for the most part and has quality power at present with more on the way. Worked out defensively behind the plate, spread set with good flex, receives well and shows quality foot quickness and athleticism into throw down mechanics. Has advanced arm strength, threw 76 MPH from behind the plate and popped as low as an impressive 1.89 seconds. Very good student.
