AJ Stento is a 2018 RHP/3B, 1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Royersford, PA who attends Pope John Paul II. Large frame with long limbs and present strength. Projects for additional strength. Smooth tempo leg lift delivery. Created good downhill angle with fastball down in the zone from a three-quarters arm slot. Showed solid command of baseball to each edge of the plate in the low 80's, topped at 83 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape with good spin and depth down in the zone in the low 70's. Changed speeds well throughout outing while inducting weak contact. Right handed hitter with a narrow, slightly open stance. Shifts into contact with rotational lower half actions. Creates a full, extended swing path throughout contact with good lift. Barrel comes through the zone smoothly with a gap to gap approach. Swings with intent to drive the baseball through the gaps. Worked out defensively from the infield showing funneling actions while fielding the baseball out front. Throws across the infield from a low three-quarters slot with accruacy, topped at 75 mph. Compact footwork while surrounding the baseball and working through transiton. Good student as well.
