Ryan Stohr is a 2019 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Morrison, CO who attends Dakota Ridge Senior. Large frame with a solid, strong build. Ran a 7.42 sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch. Simple leg lift and stays tall and balanced on back side at gather. Creates some coil over back leg at balance point and utilizes lower half well while working to the plate with drop and drive actions. Created slightly front side swing but landed in line with front side and carries momentum through finish. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot producing heavy downhill angle through the zone in the mid to upper 80's, topped at 88 miles per hour. Cruveball had 10/4 shape with good spin and sharp depth when maintaining arm speed through extension. Also flashed good arm speed with a changeup offering that had fading action to arm side in the upper 70's. Aggressively attacked hitters early in counts with fastball and mixed in curveball and changeup to finish hitters. Also worked out defensively from the infield with deliberate footwork while rounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front with a narrow base and worked through transfer well. Showed good arm strength creating stiff on line carry across the infield at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and high back elbow set at load. Shifts into contact very well with linear lower half actions. Looked to separate and lift while swinging with intent on a naturally leverage plane. Aggressively turns the barrel to contact generating solid bat speed with strength to the middle of the field. Outstanding student. Named to the 2017 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
