Ryan Jansen is a 2017 C/MIF with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard West HS. Medium frame, strong build, clear sign of present strength. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. From behind the plate, solid footwork, short compact arm action, accurate throws to bases. From the infield, solid hand side range, good backhand, short over the top throwing action, accurate throws. At the plate, starts with an open stance and a leg lift trigger. Opposite field approach, keeps hands inside the baseball, extension throughout swing, developing lower half, good two strike approach. Good student.
