Benjamin Watson is a 2022 1B/LHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Highland. Medium to large physical build with room to still grow and fill out as he continues to develop, posted a 7.03 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary first baseman, stays in front of the ball well and fields out in front. Looks comfortable working off the bag, throws are accurate to second base. On the mound, has a shorter arm action from a high three-quarters to over the top slot. Fastball up to 75 mph, large 2-to-8 shaped curveball with good depth. At the plate, uses an upright and open stance with a large leg kick trigger. Present power with strong hands that work violently through the baseball. Short and compact stroke with good bat speed. Finds some whip to his barrel through the zone as well.
