Nick Kosmetatos is a 2019 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Bartlett, IL who attends St Francis. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build with beginnings of strength. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.44 sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop with deliberate footwork while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling with quick glove to hand exchanges. Flashed very athletic footwork and glove skills while on the run. Throws across the infield with a quick arm action, topping at 80 mph. Developing accuracy across the infield while feet are set, but showed impressive accuracy to first base while on the run. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and leg kick trigger. Hands start and a compact position to body prior to load. Creates some shoulder tilt while working to baseball producing and uphill swing plane through extension. Shows good balance while at the plate with a mid-field to opposite field line drive approach. Stays on pitches to outer half well with the ability to drive the baseball through the opposite field gap. Tools will continue to improve with continued physical development and repetition. Good student as well.
