Matthew Temaner is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Gurnee, IL who attends Warren Township. Smaller frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size and strength. Ran a 7.46 sixty yard dash. Primary second baseman, showed solid glove and hands skills while funneling the baseball out front. Smooth, fundamental footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean, smooth paced glove to hand transfer while working through transition. Showd good range to both sides while maintaing smooth glove actions. Throws across the infield from a three-quarters slot topping at 70 mph. Right handed hitter with a slightly open, upright stance and leg lift trigger. Direct, compact path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Shows beginnings of bat speed when attacking the baseball out front. Mid-field approach but shows the hand and barrel skills to work the baseball to all fields. Simple, repeatable mechanics while at the plate that will continue to develop with future strength and repetition. Very good student as well.
