Daniel Labrador is a 2019 C/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Terra Environmental Research Institute. Recorded a 6.91 second 60-yard dash time. Physical frame with well-proportioned strength. Primary catcher with very good arm strength recorded up to 79 mph. Gains ground well on the transfer and gets over the front side well. Accurate throws with good carry out of the hand. Blocks well with good flexibility behind the plate and handles pitchers well. Righthanded hitter with a wide base to start. Good bat speed through the swing with a clean and simple shift forward into contact. Turns well over the inside part of the plate with an aggressive approach. Lots of strength through contact; recorded high exit velocity of 91 mph. Good barrel skills and the ball jumps off the bat. Verbal commitment to Miami. Named to the 2018 NUC East Top Prospect List.
