Timothy Mira is a 2017 C/OF, SS with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Stamford, CT who attends Greens Farms Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room for additional strength. Sound runner, posted a 6.88 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, shows sound mechanics behind the plate and will continue to refine with additional lower half, quick transfer out of glove to a tight release from ear, ball comes out of hand well and gets on top of throws showing strength and carry to second base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow, pulls hands back at the start of swing. Upper body swing, short swing path with a line drive plane and shows a feel for the barrel. Simple mechanics and repeats them well, line drive contact with hardest contact coming to the middle and opposite field. Good student.
