Chance Huff is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Niceville, FL who attends Niceville HS. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs, high waist, and plenty of room to fill out with additional strength in the future. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, full arm circle coming through the back cleanly and quickly working to a high three-quarters to near over the top slot. Uses long levers well and works on top of the ball consistently, generates solid downhill plane and ball jumps out of hand at release. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, most true in life, velocity projects very well moving forward. Occasionally drifts early with front side, feel for both a slider and curveball. Slider shows sharp spin and tight rotation with bite while curveball features 11-5 shape with solid spin and depth when on top. Arm strength plays in the outfield as well, comes out cleanly and moves well on feet for frame. Righthanded hitter, upper body dominant with full swing through the zone. Shows strength at contact and some feel for the barrel, looks to lift at contact. Very good student. Named to Main Event Top Prospect List.
