Nicolas Arrivo is a 2017 SS/2B, OF, 3B, RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Ann Arbor, MI who attends IMG Academy. Medium, athletic frame with solid build and good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.77 seconds. Sets up to hit from balanced, well-poised stance, leg lifts into trigger and shows quick hands with short, compact stroke through the hitting zone. Does a good job making adjustments at the plate, can barrel up balls all over the zone to all fields with developing power. Worked out in the infield, surrounds the ball well with smooth, consistent footwork and funnels with easy glove actions. Has range to both sides and shows solid arm strength across the diamond up to 80 MPH. Pitched as well, high take back arm action to high three quarters arm slot, generates good plane to the plate with extension, fastball worked 76-79 MPH with heaviness and sinking life. Pounds the bottom of the zone well, also mixed in a short slider with good spin and tightness. Worked quickly and found success missing barrels. Named to 2016 Great Lakes Showcase Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
