Hunter French is a 2016 RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Richland, WA who attends Richland HS. Nice pitcher's build, long and lean with plenty of room to fill out and get stronger. High 3/4's arm slot, arm works well with good arm speed, gets back turned well and uses his lower half to generate power to the plate. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, more velocity there with additional strength, gets good life on his fastball down in the zone and can work down more frequently. Short breaking slider with some tightness, tends to change his arm circle on his slider and tips it to hitters. Improving quality and use of off-speed will be key to his development.
