Austin Oblas is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Gunter, TX who attends Gunter HS. On the mound has a long arm swing with high 3/4 slot, delivery online, gets extension and repeats his mechanics. Fastball ranged 68 to 75 miles per hour and worked both sides of the plate with it. Curveball at 61 miles per hour and 11/5 arc shows some depth and feel for the pitch, maintained arm speed, and got on top of it. In the outfield had a good first step, good transfer, and threw to the bag with accuracy. At the plate he stands with feet set wide and his weight in the rear leg, hands get to strong launch position behind the shoulder, gets all of his weight in to the front side, shows good bat speed and feel for contact.
