Avery Hunt is a 2017 SS/3B, 2B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Elberton, GA who attends Elbert County. Large frame with athletic build, projects well physically but still has quality present strength. Worked out in the infield, shuffles feet and works to the ball well. Slows momentum a bit while funneling, but shows solid body control and softer hands, could quicken release. Solid arm strength with accurate throws across the diamond, up to 80 mph in defensive drills. Left handed hitter, high back elbow with slightly open stance. Can get to frontside a bit early, but does a solid job of keeping hands back. Level, flat bat path with upper-half rotational style swing. Outstanding student.
