Dante Leach is a 2019 MIF/ with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from West Sacramento, CA who attends West Campus. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 7.00 sixty-yard dash. Primary middle infielder with sound, fluid footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Funnels the baseball cleanly and worked through transition quickly. Released from a low three-quarters slot producing very accurate carry across the infield. Switch hitter with a wide, balanced stance. From the left side of the plate, shows and hanging leg lift trigger to contact. Simple barrel path to contact with a linear plane through extension. Displayed more fluidity from the right side of the plate with a good feel for the barrel. Consistently barreled up baseball with loose hands while employing a mid-field approach. Good student. Named to the 2018 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
