Hunter DiCello is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Boyd'S, MD who attends St. Johns College. Recorded a 7.20 second 60-yard dash time to show quality speed. Athletic frame with present twitch and room for added strength. Primary shortstop who stays low with a three-quarter arm slot. Quick and simple footwork into throws with a smooth glove. Full arm path through release and arm strength up to 76 mph. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a big rocker step into a leg lift above the waist. Loose arm action with quality arm speed. Hides the ball well and gets good life on the fastball. Commands the strike zone well and throws from a tight three-quarter arm slot. Fills up the strike zone and showed a curveball with sweeping action. Gets to both sides of the plate and mixes pitches well. Righthanded hitter with a narrow base and small leg lift trigger into contact. Deeper hand load with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Patient approach with a short and inside swing path. Easy trigger into swing and can work contact to all fields. Tremendous student.
