Jaylon Villarreal is a 2020 C/RHP/1B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from West Palm Beach, FL who attends Palm Beach Central HS. Recorded a 8.07 second 60-yard dash time. Present height with a physically projectable build. Primary catcher who receives with two hands and has a compact arm path. Gets downhill effectively and has deliberate overall actions. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a compact delivery. Clean arm action and stays tall through the backside. Gets on top of the baseball well to create good downward angle. Fastball up to 79 mph and gets some arm side run on the pitch. Curveball with 11/5 shape and steady break. Filled up the strike zone and has some pitchability knowing when to change speeds. Wide base at the plate with a high hand set and high back elbow. Minimal weight shift and gets on plane with the ball well. Line drive hitter with some pop and an upper half dominant swing. Open stance with an inside hand path. Some life through the ball and can impact the ball with strength. Great student.
