Brian Busick is a 2008 RHP with a 6'3'', 190 lb. frame from Poway, CA who attends Poway HS. He has a rangy, long limbed build with nice projection for more strength. Busick's arm works easily from a standard 3/4's release point and he has a nice, easy rhythm to his delivery. Busick shows very good feel for a fastball that topped out at 91 mph. He moved it in and out well and controlled the movement and even showed the ability to cut his fastball effectively. Busick worked off his fastball command and movement and mixed in a mid 70's breaking ball that showed nice promise. Busick didn't show a change up in his two innings of work but we understand he has a good one. Busick is an excellent student.
