Ryan Tencza is a 2019 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Creekview HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.00 sixty-yard dash. Primary second baseman with clean footwork while ranging for the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with fluidity. Carries weight to glove side slightly while releasing from a three-quarters slot, topped at 81 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing compact footwork while closing to the baseball. Worked through pick up well and displayed solid arm strength, topped at 81 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an athletic stance and large leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane. Looked to work to the middle of the field between the gaps on a line. Also pitched using a smooth paced leg lit delivery. Loads hips well at gather and utilized lower half while working to the plate. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a full arm action. Fastball came out of hand well producing some run to arm sink with sink in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Aggressively looked to attack hitters early in counts with fastball. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with compact spin and later depth in the low 70's. Flashed developing feel for a split finger fastball in the low 70's. Very good student as well.
