Patrick Baggett is a 2018 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 152 lb. frame from Blairsville, GA who attends Union County HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.16 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet and looks to round the ball, measured tempo to actions, shows solid arm strength across the diamond from a lower arm slot, attacks the ball, accurate throws across the diamond. Also pitched, slight hip turn at top of delivery, compact and quick arm action working to a three-quarters arm slot. Short sinking life to fastball, topped out at 82 mph and lived down, front side occasionally opens early, shows a feel for curveball and throws strikes with it to the bottom of zone with 11-5 shape, flashed a straight changeup at 72 mph. Switch-hitter, begins with a bent knee stance from either side of the plate, shows more present bat speed from the right side with a full path and a feel for the barrel. Lefthanded stays short to the ball and inside with hands, more contact approach and works all fields. Good student.
