Jac Caglianone is a 2021 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Plant. Tall well proportioned athletic build with plenty of further growth potential. Two-way prospect. Has smooth athletic actions at first base with lateral quickness, has soft hands when fielding the ball out front and a smooth and quick release, big arm strength at first base, potentially has the athletic ability to play in the corner outfield as well. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a high hand start, has loose hands and can create some barrel whip, tends to get out front early in his swing taking away some of his natural leverage. Impressed on the mound, very deceptive crossfire delivery with an extended 3/4's arm slot, has a fast arm and lots of energy at release but holds it together with his athleticism. Fastball topped out at 92 mph with a big sweeping breaking ball, lots of swing and miss from uncomfortable hitters, reliever profile at present but lots of potential on the mound. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Florida. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
