Davis Ford is a 2018 OF/ with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Pacific Palisades, CA who attends Harvard-Westlake. Large frame with a solid, athletic build and present strength. Ran a 7.16 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder, move well and closes to the baseball with smooth, athletic actions. Quick footwork and generates good direction to the bag with a crow hop gather. Releases from a high energy, high three-quarters arm slot topping at 79 miles per hour. Throws produced solid on line carry to the bag with accuracy. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Linear lower half actions to contact and creates good shift. Hands launch on an extended, loose path with a line drive plane through extension. Primarily used a mid-field approach, flashed bat speed and strength to drive the baseball through the outfield gaps when front side trigger was on time. Good student as well.
