Marcus Lydon is a 2017 MIF/OF/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Eugene, OR who attends Marist HS. Has a large frame, broad shoulders, and a strong build. Clear sign of present strength in build. Posted a 7.17 60-yard dash. From the infield, showed good range and actions for size, good glove on backhand with quick transfers. Made strong and accurate throws across diamond. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide and open stance with a high back elbow. Short to the baseball with leverage, clear weight shift into contact. Produces lift and hard carry middle to pull side, lot of strength in swing. Raw power at the plate with more to develop. On the mound, throws from a 3/4 arm slot with loose arm action and quality arm speed. Good athletic actions and body control throughout delivery. 12/6 shape on curveball with solid depth, has later break with some deception. Better feel for all pitches as game proceeded. Profiles best at the corners currently. Named to National Underclass West Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
