Nick Wall is a 2019 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Santa Rosa, CA who attends Cardinal Newman. Large frame with broad shoulders and a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.32 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and worked through transfer well. Long arm circle at separation and released from a loose three-quarters slot. Throws produced on line carry to the bag topping at 77 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a very open, slightly crouched stance and hanging front side trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Swung with intent and showed present strength with bat speed on a lifted plane through extension. Ball jumped off barrel well when squared producing sharp, loud contact between the gaps. Also pitched showing a smooth paced, deliberate side step delivery. Stays tall and balanced on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Medium arm circle at take back and released from a compact three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed occasional downhill tilt through the zone in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Curveball had 10/5 shape with softer spin and occasional depth in the upper 50's. Consistently filled the zone and challenged hitters with both pitches. Very good student. Named to the 2017 NorCal Showcase Top Prospect List.
