Edrick Morillo is a 2018 OF/ with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Trujillo Alto, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Acad.. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.81 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, athletic footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling with efficient glove to hand exchanges. Released from a compact arm slot producing accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 79 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and high back elbow set. Stacks back side at load and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended path to contact with a level barrel plane through extension. Flashed solid bat speed with strength at contact when on time and squared. Primarily utilized a mid field approach but flashed the barrel feel to work the other way as well. Very good student.
