Logan Bond is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-1 161 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Saginaw. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, long limbs with a lean and projectable build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a nice first step moving towards the ball with balance to actions, takes an extra step at point of release, works to a lower arm arm slot with full arm stroke in back, shows accuracy to the bag, carry on throws will continue to develop. Also pitched, shows balanced delivery and lands on line with stride to plate, full arm action and shows fluidity to it while getting to a medium three-quarters slot. Worked to the bottom of the zone and showed short life to the fastball, topped out at 71 mph. Induced weak contact and worked arm side well while showing ability to get to glove side. Has 1-7 shape to curveball, replicates arm speed well, fields position nicely. Switch-hitter, shows more comfort at present from the left side. Begins with movement in hands and high leg lift trigger, line drive swing plane coming through the zone, contact approach with a short path to the ball, line drive contact coming off, projects with physical strength. Wide and slightly open stance from the right side with a high hand set, upper body dominant swing and gets rotational at times, stays short to the ball with an inside path. Very good student.
