Reed Hartsfield is a 2024 OF/RHP, MIF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Chelsea. Showed above average speed with a 6.97 second sixty. Primary outfielder with a medium lean build. Does a nice job coming to get the ball in the outfield working into the throws with game like actions getting rid of the ball on time and making strong accurate throws with above average arm strength. Waits back on the ball on the infield showing developing footwork through the ball with late glove presentation before making a strong throw across the diamond. Works from the stretch only with a compact leg lift to a balance point at the top. The arm works to a low three-quarters slot with good hand speed running the fastball up to 82 mph while sitting 77-81 mph showing some cut with spin rates getting into the high 2300 RPM's. Showed the curveball as one of his two off-speeds with maintained arm speed showing shorter depth on the action. The changeup rounded out a three pitch mix with some change of pace and fading action out of the same arm slot. Right-handed hitter, starts with a hanging leg lift to start a level path through the zone with some developing bat speed working best up the middle. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
