Yazzan Bonet is a 2019 C/1B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Recorded a 6.80 second 60-yard dash time. Physical present frame with already impressive athleticism as well. Primary catcher with a short, quick arm stroke. Good carry out of the hand with throws recorded up to 79 mph. Catch and throw skills are advanced with a best pop time of 2.00 seconds. Quick feet and the lower half works nicely through release. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a compact stroke. Upper half dominant swing path with an inside hand path to contact. Found the pull side of the field nicely and can improve some power with additional lower half usage. Good student.
