Matthew Hoskins is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge. Big physical build with very good present strength. Slow paced delivery with a quick compact arm action, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 96 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running life, impressive raw arm strength, fastball at present lacks deception but gets his velocity pretty easily. Curveball had some tightness and bite to it up to 74 mph, developing change up. Has been a two-way player who is still getting his repetitions on the mound. Right handed hitter, loads his hands high and swings hard, gets good separation and plenty of bat speed, pulls the ball hard with big impact when he's squared up. Definite chance to be a two-way contributor at the college level. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia.
