2022 Summer Main Event Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Joshua Evans is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge. Slender young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a short stride into contact, gets extended well out front, can get too far spread and out front at times, creates nice present bat speed with more to come, some lift to his swing, ball comes off the barrel hard when squared up. 7.28 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder with nice athletic actions to and through the ball, flows well, gets into his lower half throwing with an over the top arm slot that creates on line carry, makes accurate throws. Also pitched, left hander on the mound, big side step to start his delivery with a pause over the rubber, rushed leg raise with a very short arm circle to a 3/4's arm slot and a short stride out front, young overall mechanics that can be further developed with his athleticism. Worked mostly in the low 80's with his fastball, topped out at 86 mph when he reached back out of the zone. Primary fastball pitcher, just showed his slider and change up between innings. Very good athlete who will continue to improve in all areas. Good student. Named to the Summer Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
