Jacob Hammer is a 2018 C/RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Greeley, CO who attends Northridge HS. Very good physical build, projectable in all ways. Right handed hitter, spread open stance, deep hand load, set up creates length to the ball and hand drive is spent by contact point, front side opens early to let everything through, flashes his strength but bottom and upper halves not synced up yet in his swing. 7.23 runner, shows nice athleticism behind the plate defensively, arm action is long and loose, makes accurate throws, works hard receiving and blocking, 1.99 best pop time. Two-way potential on the mound, long and loose arm action from a high 3/4's release, delivery is young and needs simplifying but the arm works well, fastball up to 83 mph, gets nice cutting action at times. Shows nice sharpness and bite to his curveball. Should continue to improve with work and repetitions.
