Wes Simpson is a 2022 RHP/ with a 6-3 207 lb. frame from Montevallo, AL who attends Indian Springs. Ran an 8.02-second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a long frame that has present strength in the lower half. Starts from the windup with a high leg lift, and good use of the lower half. Hides the ball well with a long arm action from a high three-quarter slot, creating good extension out front at release. Generates some arm-side run to the fastball at 80-84 miles per hour, mixing speeds well with a slider that is tunneled well off the fastball. Slider has late, sweeping action in the low-70s, creating some swings-and-misses as well. Maintains good line to home plate throughout the delivery. Good student.
