John Prato is a 2017 OF/ with a 5-10 172 lb. frame from Brick, NJ who attends Brick Twp. Medium frame with high-waisted, athletic build at present; body projects very well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.95 seconds. Sets up to hit with stance even to the plate, some lower half movement in pre-swing load, high back elbow set. Gets on plane quickly and early, shows quick hands, shorter stroke with quality barrel control. Line drive swing, ball comes off the barrel with jump, stays committed to the middle of the field but will pull the ball when necessary. Worked out defensively in the outfield, moves to the ball well with easy footwork and athleticism, fields cleanly and manages to work through the ball some, short and quick arm action with quick release, arm strength clocked up to 80 MPH.
