Andrew Poon is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Greensboro, NC who attends Northwest Guilford. Long, lean frame with present athleticism and room for additional strength. Recorded a 7.66 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher with a smooth, fluid delivery and good lower half movements down the slope. Works from a longer arm action with slight stab on the backside of the arm stroke that flashed some looseness and present arm speed. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 80s for most of his outing, while showing the ability to use both sides of the plate after some early command issues. Worked in two secondary offerings during outing with curveball showing better at present. Curveball flashed 11-5 shape with ability to throw it for strikes, while changeup showed minimal action but was well-replicated from an arm speed standpoint. Efficient outing with projection remaining as he makes minor adjustments and add strength. Excellent Student.
