Josh Petrone is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-3 230 lb. frame from Bordentown, NJ who attends Notre Dame. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 40 yard dash in 5.72 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, works from the stretch, coiled leg lift over balance point, throws from three quarters slot, effort to release, fastball worked 75-80 mph, showed curveball with slurvy break and solid depth, did a good job throwing strikes. Hits from slightly open stance, leans back into load, inside-out hand path with middle-opposite field approach, has barrel skills with strength at times. Worked out in the infield, showed arm strength, clocked up to 80 mph across the diamond from shortstop and 76 mph across from 1st base. Good student.
